« Back to Glossary Index

A measure of the length of time between the purchase of raw materials and the collection of accounts receivable from customers. The Cash Conversion Cycle measures the time between outlay of cash and cash recovery. A shorter cycle minimizes the time that working capital is tied up in the operating cycle of the business. For this period, the cash conversion cycle is less than the target length of 25 days.
